LED display screens have characteristics such as environmental protection, high brightness, high clarity, and high reliability. With the advancement of technology, LED display screens have been widely used. Below, we will introduce the commonly used inspection methods for repairing LED electronic display screens, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
01 Short circuit detection method
Set the multimeter to the short circuit detection mode (usually with alarm function, if it is conductive, it will emit a beep sound) to detect whether there is a short circuit. If a short circuit is found, it should be resolved immediately. Short circuit is also the most common LED display module fault. Some can be found by observing the IC pins and pin pins. Short circuit detection should be carried out when the circuit is powered off to avoid damaging the multimeter. This method is the most commonly used, simple and efficient. 90% of faults can be detected and judged through this method.
02 Resistance detection method
Set the multimeter to the resistance range, test the ground resistance value at a certain point on a normal circuit board, and then test whether there is a difference between the same point on another identical circuit board and the normal resistance value. If there is a difference, the range of the problem is determined.
03 Voltage detection method
Set the multimeter to the voltage range, detect the ground voltage at a certain point in the suspected circuit, compare whether it is similar to the normal value, and easily determine the range of the problem.
04 Pressure drop detection method
Set the multimeter to the diode voltage drop detection mode, as all ICs are composed of numerous basic single components, only miniaturized. Therefore, when there is current passing through one of its pins, there will be a voltage drop on the pins. Generally, the voltage drop on the same pins of the same model of IC is similar. Depending on the voltage drop value on the pins, it is necessary to operate when the circuit is powered off.
