During the installation process
1. Apply sealant to the back panel
When installing outdoor LED display screens, do not add a backboard or apply sealant on the backboard. Over time, electronic components will get wet, and over time, LED display screens will have problems. And electronic components are most afraid of water ingress. Once water enters the circuit, it will cause the circuit to burn out.
2. Leakage outlet
Even if the LED electronic display screen is tightly integrated with the backplane, it is necessary to install a drain below to extend the service life of the LED display screen.
3. Appropriate route
When installing LED electronic display screens, appropriate wires must be selected for the plug wiring, and the principle of prioritizing large over small should be followed. Calculate the total power of the LED display screen and choose slightly larger wires instead of just right or too small wires, otherwise it is highly likely to cause the circuit to burn out and affect the safe operation of the LED display screen.
During use
1. Timely inspection
In case of rainstorm, the rear cover of the box shall be opened in time after the rain stops to check whether there is water seepage in the box and whether there is damp, water droplets, moisture and other phenomena inside the box. (The newly installed screen should also be checked in a timely manner after being exposed to rain for the first time)
2. Lighting up+ dehumidification
Under an ambient humidity of 10% to 85% RH, turn on the screen at least once a day and ensure that the display screen operates normally for at least 2 hours each time;
If the humidity is greater than 90% RH, the environment can be dehumidified using air conditioning or fan cooling air, and the display screen can be ensured to work normally for more than 2 hours every day.
In the specific construction site
In structural design, waterproofing and drainage should be combined; After determining the structure, sealing strip materials with hollow bubble tube structure, low compression permanent deformation rate, and high elongation rate can be considered based on the characteristics of the structure;
After selecting the sealing strip material, it is necessary to design appropriate contact surfaces and contact forces based on the characteristics of the sealing strip material, so that the sealing strip is compressed to an extremely dense state. At some waterproof groove positions, focus on protection to ensure that there is no water accumulation inside the display screen.
Remedial measures after water ingress
1. Rapid dehumidification
Use a fan (cold air) or other dehumidification tool at the fastest speed to dehumidify the damp LED screen.
2. Electrical aging
After completely drying, turn on the screen and age it. The specific steps are as follows:
a. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 10% and age it for 8-12 hours with power on.
b. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 30% and age it for 12 hours with power on.
c. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 60% and age for 12-24 hours on power.
d. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 80% and age for 12-24 hours with power on.
e. Set the brightness (all white) to 100% and age for 8-12 hours with power on.
